Via this site we want to inform you on what Zero Human Comanies are and how they fit the world of Autonomous Organizations and how they will reshape our way of working.
So what are Autonomous Organizations to start with?
In concept Autonomous Organizations are quite simple. They are organizations where automation (e.g. through AI agents or smart contracts) completely replaces humans for day-to-day operations and execution, decision making and even strategy! Basically, the human becomes obsolete.
Roughly we can distinguish 2 types of Autonomous Organizations:
Zero Human Companies and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations
Zero Human Company (ZHC)
ZHCs can be owned by a single person and primary AI based. The ZHC philosophy is that anyone can setup their own ZHC and let an army of AI agents perform all the work, including all decision making and execution thereof. There is little direct human control in the operational and governance processes. There is little blockchain involved and a lot of AI.
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)
DAOs are co-owned and primary blockchain based. The philosophy of DAOs is that all participants are jointly in charge of the organization and there is no single person or instance in charge. Decisions are often made by humans through voting and execution of decisions is performed autonomous through "smart contracts". There is still substantial direct human control in the operational an governance processes. Often there is very little AI involved and a lot of blockchain.

Our goal with Zero Human Company
Our goal at this point in time is primarily: LEARN.
We are at the start what ZHCs will bring us and there are a lot of unknowns. Not in the least on governance, risk and compliance in companies where humans are no longer in charge!
And what we learn, we want to share with you!
How will we learn?
We will learn in two ways:
- Research. Look at what others do, what they run into and how they solved their problems.
- But most importantly: DO - we will experiment by setting up our own ZHC, see how it performs, how it can run autonomously, but also, how can the human ultimately stay in control.
What will be the focus areas?
We will focus on various areas including:
- Business - what type of business can a ZHC do
- Business Operations - how will it work, e.g. handle work, communicate, perform (crypto asset?) financial transaction
- Technical - how do we set it up technically, what are the crucial components
- Governance - how is the ZHC controled and how can the human stay in control
- Legal - how can a ZHC operate in existing legal frameworks
